One design racing is in Shark 24 keel boats with a 3-person crew including skipper. Handicap racing is in 24' to 40' keel boats with and without spinnakers. Crews can be 3 persons for small boats with no spinnaker to 8 persons for larger boats flying a spinnaker.

Weekend medium distance races are  on a saturday or sunday and between 8 and 15 nautical miles in length.

Overnight long distances races start of Friday evenings and are for the more skilled crew with safety training and the proper clothing and survival gear.

Cruising is non-competitive but involves boat handling and sail trim. There are cruises with an overnight stay at another yacht club and others that are just an evening sail. This option is a good way to socialize and get out on the water.
